CHERYL BOISVERT
Cheryl grew up in Marcy, New York, as an Episcopalian. She also attended University of New Hampshire during her college years and graduated as an Occupational Therapist. She was always proud of being "the good girl" and tried very hard to earn her way to heaven. In 1976 during a personal crisis, she saw her own limitations and realized she could not please God herself. Doug, himself newly saved, was able to share that it was Jesus' death and resurrection that mattered, and Cheryl accepted Christ as her Savior.
She also knows God has called her to be a missionary both in the church planting ministry and now in Tri-M. Cheryl teaches the wives of the church leaders current twice a year in three countries of the East African Community. These ladies are also quick to listen to God’s calling to take her courses and bring them farther out to the village areas and beyond to disciple other ladies. African ladies are often unable to get any Bible training for serving Christ in their Churches and just holding a class for them seems to be an opportunity for God to open up new ministries in their Churches as they learn they can serve Christ! In Uganda the translators for Cheryl were leaving the very next day after the teaching to spend a week teaching ladies in outlying regions!
Ladies ministry groups have been blessed by her teaching, and Sunday School classes, children’s ministries, and Ladies Bible study groups have profited from her gifts and joy for teaching the Bible. At Bible Baptist Church, our Home Church, she has served as Coordinator for the Ladies Bible Study group that grew under her leadership from one study of 13 ladies to 12 studies with over 150 ladies involved. She also serves as an example of wife and mother to our two daughters, Katy and Danielle.
