Dear Praying Friends,
The Kenyan training program we are working with in Western Kenya is Christ Army Mobile School Of Ministry or C.A.M.S.O.M. Doug and Cheryl have assisted in getting this school established under Pastor Thomas Odari's vision to "Release an Army of trained men to start Churches for the villages of Western Kenya"!
Pastor Thomas has expanded this training to include a Satellite Campus and added 3 other Pastors to assist him in teaching TRI-M courses we have provided for a full training program. Interesting these 3 Pastors expressed great doubts about being able to train men for ministry in a Modular and b\village setting. Now after graduating the first group of men, these same Pastors are enthusiastically teaching as a part of CAMSOM.
We are excited to hear that Pastor Thomas has also added an internship to the training program. He has taken another Pastor under his wings and influenced him to plant a new Church in another village setting of Shibuli that has no Gospel outreach. It is far enough away from CAMSOM that transportation is costly for the CAMSOM students. However, it is close enough to take day trips if the students had funds for transportation. Cedar Creek Bible Church in Michigan has raised fund to assist these 14 students to be able to travel one week of the month for 6 months to spread the Gospel in this area. They will go door to door 3 days of the week and then devote one day to disciple those who have come to Christ.
PLEASE PRAY with us as they will be starting this outreach 9th- 14th July 2015! Please pray for...
1) Safe Transport for the Church Planter, CAMSOM Students, and Pastor Thomas each month.
2) Bold and Creative outreach in sharing the Gospel of Christ.
3) Souls to respond to the Gospel in the village of Shibuli.
4) The Village officials to remain friendly to this outreach.
Thank you for supporting God's work in prayer through TRI-M, the Boisverts and our African brethren!
